Working Training Camp is awesome, even at 5 A.M.
When those gates open at 8:15 a.m., you bet every tent, barricade, table linen, chair, free poster, and inflatable is in its place before the Dawg Pound enters those gates! Even though we are required to arrive at 6 a.m., my alarm will sound at at the early hour of 4:30. After much preparation, working actual training camp is when the fun starts. Cleveland Browns fans come from all over the country, and even the world to see their favorite team prepare for the upcoming season. If watching the players up close, unlimited rides on the inflatable obstacle courses, give-aways and autographs sessions are not enough to bring fans in, then I do not know what is!
We have many responsibilities daily which are rotated each camp day, including setting everything up, scanning tickets, working the Browns Backers Worldwide tent, coordinating the inflatables, shadowing our boss and assisting with autographs. The work we do is very labor intensive, professional and adrenaline rushing all at the same time. But it is all worth it to hear the barking of the Dawg Pound or catch a glimpse of that little kid’s face after they receive their first real Cleveland Browns autograph!
